Charbonnel et Walker, is perhaps one of the world’s most magical purveyors of all things chocolate.

Founded in 1875, Charbonnel et Walker is one of Britain’s first and finest chocolatiers.

Encouraged by Edward VII, (then the Prince of Wales), Charbonnel et Walker formed as a partnership between Mrs Walker and Mme Charbonnel, the latter from the esteemed Maison Boissier chocolate house in Paris.

The original shop opened at 173 New Bond Street in Mayfair and has remained in Bond Street ever since. It is housed in one of London’s most elegant arcades, the Royal Arcade on Old Bond Street. We feel proud and privileged to be endorsed by the Royal Warrant as one of the few chocolatiers to Her Majesty The Queen.

If you happen to be visiting London, and find yourself in the Mayfair district this is a must.

Charbonnel et Walker is based in the Royal Arcade Bond Street, not far from the original premises, and manufactures its chocolates at its factory in Tunbridge Wells.

The connection with the royal family continues to the present day, and Charbonnel et Walker hold a Royal Warrant as official Chocolate Manufacturers to the Queen.

They are particularly renowned for their plain chocolate, made from the finest dark couverture, which has a luscious richness and unforgettable silky taste. Yet two thirds of all sales are of their pink champagne truffles.

Charbonnel et Walker is located at One, The Royal Arcade, 28 Old Bond St, London W1S 4BT, United Kingdom
