If a family vacation to Disney World has you dreading horrifically long lines for ridiculously short rides, meals consisting largely of burgers and fries, and endless screaming children, think again. Disney offers a multitude of practically perfect, luxurious experiences that whisk you away from the masses and let you enjoy the finer side of the Mouse.

Halloween Fun at Disney World

8. Race an Exotic Car

WDW_exotic_cars

After you’ve tried the roller coasters, take a Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera through the paces. Or maybe a Ferrari 458 Italia is more your style–it can do 0 to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds. Choose among seven exotic supercars and accelerate on an oval banked racetrack that takes a hairpin turn to a street-style course.

7. Enjoy the Finer Things

Champagne Taittinger Comtes de Champagne

You’re on vacation, so it’s no time to forgo the small luxuries that make life sweeter. Looking for a 30-year-old Fine Oak Macallan? Want to pop the cork off a bottle of the 2005 Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Rose? Shopping for a Dooney & Bourke Minnie Mouse purse, or a limited-edition Vera Bradley bag? The Where in Disney World?  Their app for iOS is the quickest way we’ve found to locate sushi, steak, and all the other essentials that aren’t listed in the park maps.

6. Trek to Wild Africa

Expert guides equip you and take you on a VIP journey to parts of the African savannah most theme park visitors don’t get to see. After crossing a rope bridge suspended above crocodiles, feeding a hippo, and bagging a few of the big five with your SLR in custom safari vehicles, enjoy a relaxing lunch of African-inspired gourmet cuisine at a private outdoor overlook with panoramic savannah views.

5. Watch the Fireworks from a Yacht

Party aboard the Grand 1, the 52-foot yacht which sails the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake from its home base, the marina at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. A butler caters to your every whim, while the dining staff serves a gourmet five-course dinner with wine pairings. Time your cruise so you can enjoy the fireworks display over the Magic Kingdom on the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake, far away from the crowds.

4. Dine at Victoria & Albert’s Chef Table

WDW_VA_Chefs_Table

Victoria & Albert’s gets a fair amount of accolades: it’s the only Florida restaurant named to TripAdvisor’s Top 5 restaurants; it’s one of only two AAA Five Diamond restaurants in Florida; and (perhaps best of all) it is the only restaurant at Disney World with a dress code (read: no shorts and flip-flops to dinner). Take it up a notch with the Chef’s Table experience, a three-hour, 10-course dinner with wine pairings just off the kitchen.

3. Stay in Cinderella Castle

WDW_Cinderella_Suite

Disney World’s most coveted address is the exclusive suite within Cinderella Castle, the focal point of the Magic Kingdom. Unless you’re Tom Cruise (http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20618492,00.html) or Katy Perry (http://instagram.com/p/qDywtpP-SD/), chances are you won’t be able to book a stay—you must win it in a contest. The lucky ones enjoy a small but well-appointed one-bedroom suite with stained glass windows, faux stone walls, a magic mirror above the fireplace, and of course, butler service. It is the only place you’ll see Cinderella’s famous hand-crafted Steuben Glass slipper, along with her custom Harry Winston tiara of platinum, 18k gold and 366 diamonds totaling 62 carats.

2. Live in a Disney World Mansion

Golden Oak at Walt Disney World Resort

For many, it’s a dream come true—living in a mansion in Disney World. The first residential community in “the World,” Golden Oak, has single-family luxury homes decked out with state-of-the art electronics, high-end finishes and magazine-perfect outdoor spaces. Home prices range from $1.5 to $8 million. If you’re just visiting, head to the neighborhood’s Four Seasons hotel, the world’s largest at 444 guest rooms.
