With more than 100+ musicians at Lightning in a Bottle, 2017 is was set to be the most eclectic LIB lineup to date. Headliners topping the bill include the international hero to bass embracers everywhere, Bassnectar.

Fresh off a chart-topping album release the famed electronic icon Bonobo is served up his signature brand of lively, transcending grooves. For his first LIB yet, the high-octane UK-based sensation TroyBoi joined the fray and the venerable Rüfüs Du Sol bringing a scintillating mix of live and electronic instruments to the mainstage.

Haitian-born producer Kaytranada rendered a drum-heavy set to showcase ear-catching sounds from 99.9%, one of the most celebrated albums of 2016. At the illustrious Lightning Stage, house-heads danced all night long in the mesmerizing pop-savvy live electronic show planned by Bob Moses

Music
– Along with a stacked lineup there were intimate Surprise Sets from Rufus du Sol (Favela bar), Tokimonsta + Bonobo (Pagoda Bar) and more
– Ivy Lab, Calyx and Teebee, Barclay Crenshaw had incredible performances on the Thunder Stage
– In their first year as a full-fledged stage, The Grand Artique had electric appearances from Dirtwire, Too Many Zooz and Orgone –  just for a few.
 
Structures
– 12 new structures including the Beacon (which debuted at Coachella) and the new Woogie.
– 11 of the 12 new structures housed social change and leadership elements as part of the Compass.
– Lilikoi (Pagoda) and Walloped (Crossroads) structure to be seen again soon at Eclipse along with another larger structure that is still yet to be seen.
 
Lake
– 4 Pieces of Aquatic Art
– Almost all the stages were moved near the lake
– For all of LIB’s history we have had a nearby body of water but this was the first time we could swim in it.
