American Airlines launched a record-breaking 20 new national flights in a 72 hour period from June 2 to June 4. Nine new flights depart from LAX to key destinations such as Seattle, Kansas City, Minneapolis, New Orleans, Portland, Omaha, Durango, Anchorage and Hartford.

More Stops to New Continents

The only airline serving five continents nonstop from L.A., American is expanding its global footprint and further investing in their network to provide the best possible travel experience for customers around the globe.

Recently the airline launched nonstop service from LAX to Toky’s Haneda Airport (HND) and will debut it’s LAX to Auckland route later in June. In September, new flights will be launched to Hong Kong (HKG) and in December, Beijing (PEK). American Airlines is still the only carrier with true three-class transcontinental service from LAX to JFK onbaord the Airbus A321.

In 2015, American Airlines has carried a record 14 million passengers from LAX. With over 220 daily departures and 70 destinations, it is operated by the youngest fleet among global network carriers.

A Huge Investment to Enhance the Airport Experience.

$3 billion dollars will be invested to provide fully lie-flat seats, upgraded cabin interiors, international Wi-fi, more in-flight entertainment options and charging power for customers in all cabins. Their goal is to improve the airport experience with faster, more reliable kiosks and ticketing areas.
