Fashion catwalks are no longer a simple white runway. Every year designers try to stand out of the crowd of newbie trends and up and coming fashion houses who throw a lot of money around to make a splash and gain fan momentum. With so much competition it is becoming harder to leave a mark without going against your brand’s identity. Let’s take a look at how Chanel did this.

Karl Lagerfeld certainly thought out of the box this year by glorifying the art of shopping. Not the kind of shopping you would normally associate with fashion or a fashion show… rather he had a different vision for Chanel. Before the show began we spotted Rihanna, Cara Delevingne and Keira Knightley front row.

Models illuminated the custom made catwalk which not only had a theme of a supermarket but the entire shopping for groceries experience flowed naturally with the show staging. Kendall Jenner was one of the models part of the show. Talk about a truly unique and thought out concept. I know will think twice about going to any supermarket in anything less then Chanel from now on.
