EXPERIENCE IN GREECE. - Destination Luxury

Although I have lived and worked in Greece (and my partner Sotiris is Greek), I have to admit I have never visited Mykonos or Santorini!

I was so excited to be going on this tripFor company, I took along my friend Michelle @michutravel from Los Angeles to share the experience of these enchanting islands.

Initially, I stayed with Cavo Tagoo Santorini. I was officially the first guest and the first of their full season and I was not disappointed. You may already know Cavo Tagoo Mykonos, whose owners decided to bring the Cavo Tagoo to Santorini. I was lucky enough to stay in the honeymoon suite which had amazing views of the Caldera. The food in the Ovac restaurant was sublime and I even had a cocktail named after me the ‘Naomi Chilli’Located centrally to both Thira and Oia I really did not want to leave…

Too soon, though, we were off by limo courtesy of Charisma Suites. This is a unique gem of a property within the island of Santorini and I was grateful to stay in the phenomenal Charisma Cave Pool Suite. What an experience to have a Cave Pool in your room! Everything was done for me… my ironing, even my early morning coffee. All the staff became firm friends and assisted in anything and everything I needed even before I knew!

Both Cavo Tagoo ad Charisma also gave me mobile phones so that I could contact them whilst I was off the property for directions, assistance, advice or collection – a definite perk.

Soon we were off to Mykonos! Thanks you to the Greek tourism board and Seajets for arranging the transfer and the ferry!

Our first stop was Kensho Mykonos, again a brand new property, on its first full season.

This is a wonderful boutique hotel where everything is all about the detail. The staircase, the underground spa cave; each corner was as photo opportunity. The concierge assisted us daily and drove us around to visit Taverna’s and look at and photo the many magnificent viewpoints around Mykonos! No wonder they say this is the new celeb jet set destination for 2017.

Finally, I was invited for quite a long stay with Alegria Mykonos the only 7 star awarded villa in Mykonos!  I stayed in the main Honeymoon suite and then in their uber fabulous Romance suite. The property can host up to 700 guests for an event.  It boasts an on-site chapel for weddings, helipad; 24-hour concierge and security staff… I was living the dream! I also became the first person in Greece to test out an infra-red saunas (Alegria villa currently owns the only one in their brand new on-site spa).
