Inspired by this, I decided to visit some of the best spots close to home. My first stop was Westlake Village Inn, a beautiful resort located between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. With over 50 years of history, this place combines elegance, relaxation, and charm.
A Magical Welcome
As soon as you pass through the iron gates of Westlake Village Inn, you feel like you’ve entered a peaceful retreat. The lush gardens, cobblestone paths, and vineyards create a stunning setting. I stayed in a charming suite and was welcomed with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot rosé. The property, originally built in 1968 by John L. Notter, has grown over the years into a 156-room resort. Located next to the Westlake Village Golf Course, it’s perfect for both relaxation and business trips. 
Dining and Entertainment
The inn offers more than just great scenery. It has several exciting places to eat and relax. Stonehaus, a cozy wine bar, feels like a little piece of Italy. For those looking for nightlife, Bogie’s nightclub offers drinks and dancing. If you want a more refined dining experience, Mediterraneo, a European-style restaurant, serves delicious meals on a patio with beautiful lake views. 
Spa Relais: A Luxury Spa Experience
One of the inn’s best features is Spa Relais, which opened just before the pandemic. This luxurious spa spans 25,000 square feet and was designed by John L. Notter and architect Doug Mansfield. Inspired by European spas, it offers high-end treatments in a serene environment. The spa has 13 treatment rooms, a gym, a pool, and a boutique hotel. It’s a haven for those looking to unwind. 
During my visit, I enjoyed the “Contouring Crushed Cabernet Scrub,” which left my skin glowing. The spa’s Mediterranean-inspired design, with stone buildings and flower-filled courtyards, made it feel like I had traveled to Europe. 
Comfortable and Elegant Accommodations
During my stay, I spent the night in one of the resort’s beautifully appointed suites, complete with a fireplace and patio overlooking a peaceful koi pond. The room was the perfect blend of comfort and luxury, and I enjoyed a delightful in-room breakfast before my departure.
My stay at Westlake Village Inn was truly unforgettable. From the beautiful landscapes and fine dining options to the world-class Spa Relais, this destination has everything you need for a relaxing and luxurious getaway. Whether you’re a local or visiting from out of state, Westlake Village Inn is a must-visit for anyone seeking a high-end escape in California.
