We’ve all had our fair share of experiences with going through Security at the airport. Even if you are flying business or first class, the one thing we know that it is not fun to get held up in Security. JetSuiteX is a new flying concept that lets you fly out of a private airport.
We took a quick day trip to Napa and left from the private Burbank Airport. We arrived at a gorgeous hangar, checked in and literally walked onto the plane in 20 minutes. There were no lines, no hassles, and no x-ray machines. It was so easy and we felt relaxed when boarding the plane. From start to finish, the process of hopping on the plane was simple.
We cruised the sky in the JetSuite XL which is a 30 seat Embraer E135, better known as “everyone’s private jet.” Each seat has at least 36-inches of pitch, free WiFi, and entertainment. The cabin is clean and has a contemporary feel to it. We were impressed that there were power outlets at every seat…something we are definitely not used to when flying commercial.
After takeoff, a flight attendant offered us gourmet organic snacks and a wide assortment of beverages. We opted for a tequila soda with Casamigos, a tequila owned by George Clooney and Randy Gerber. We loved how it was served in a little bottle. The seats were comfortable with plenty of legroom and free wifi was onboard throughout the whole flight.
The short flight was only an hour and we landed in Concord, California. We stepped outside of the plane and walked onto the tarmac and were whisked away in a Mercedes Sprinter van. Off to Napa we went in style.
Our first stop was Raymond Vineyards. Raymond Vineyards has over 300 acres of estate vineyards in the Napa Valley, in 3 locations. Each parcel is matched to varietals which perform well in that particular climate and soil type. In addition, the winery maintains long term growing contracts with over 15 Napa Valley growers, allowing the winery to take advantage of the micro-climates and sub-appellations within the Napa Valley.
Cook’s Tavern & Pizzeria is a bustling, farmers-to-table restaurant that serves up Neapolitan-inspired pizza complemented by an ever-changing roster of seasonal American and Italian dishes, beer, wine and more. The couple who owns it, Jude Wilmots and Meagan Rounds, are always nearby adding a personal touch.
Our final stop of the day was Liana Vineyards. It is a second-generation, family owned and operated winery in the Carneros region of Napa Valley. Established in 2016, they are located among the rolling hills of Carneros with breathtaking views of the San Pablo Bay. Their mission is to produce distinct and extraordinary wines while drawing inspiration from their beautiful surroundings to create immersive experiences that elevate the overall wine tasting experience.
Without a minute to spare, we rushed back to the Concord Airport, hopped onto our JetSuiteX plane and flew back to Los Angeles in style. JetSuiteX is definitely the way to fly!
