According to a survey by restaurant industry site Upserve, this Father’s Day, the perfect day for dad is a dinner out with a good steak and side of potatoes. And for those dads who are in states where dining out isn’t yet possible or are still hesitant to dine out, getting that dinner to go or receiving a grilling kit along with a gift of some savory sauces is just as big a treat.
Luckily, Columbus, OH-based Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, which has 37 award-winning restaurants under 16 different concepts, including the nationally-acclaimed Ocean Prime brand, has dads covered in states around the country.
At CMR’s Ocean Prime restaurants, which are now open in 12 cities including Beverly Hills, which reopens June 13, Denver Larimar Square, which reopened June 10 and Troy, MI, which reopened June 9, they are serving dinner and select locations are also offering a special Father’s Day brunch.
Dads can accessorize any steak with a truffle poached egg, lobster & bacon hash with caramelized onions and parmesan cream paired with a glass of their exclusive Ocean Prime Red Blend from Trefethen Family Vineyards. Menus, locations and hours can be found at here.
At specialty restaurant the Barn in Gahanna OH, you can indulge dad with a Grilling Package for two or four people. Choose from BBQ ribs, 8-ounce Filet, Black Falls New York Strip or Prime Ribeye. All dinners come with seasoned foil wrapped baked potatoes, asparagus, rolls, steak sauce, maple butter sour cream, butter, blended oil and salt and pepper. Additional treats can be ordered including apple cobbler, a Manhattan flight, Bourbon Hemingway, bottles of wines and cigars which can be pre-ordered before Friday, June 19.
At Cameron Mitchell Premier Events (CMPE) in Columbus, you can gift dad “Father’s Day in a Box” which features jumbo lump crab cakes, braised beef short ribs, whipped Idaho potatoes, glazed root cup, cracked wheat sourdough bread with butter, and New York-style cheesecake with cherry topping. Served for four or 10. Add on a “Papa’s Pineapple Whisky” (whisky, pineapple juice, mint) or a “Zero Proof Honey Blackberry Mint Cooler” or gift dad with B’s Famous Hot Sauce or a Candied Bacon Kit. For the dad whose ultimate treat is a steak, CMPE also offers Meal Kits and their Build a Steak Box includes a choice of four steaks: an 8-ounce Center Cut Filet Mignon, 14-ounce Center Cut NY Strip and/or a 16-ounce USDA Boneless Prime Ribeye.
