With Audi making a statement in the luxury industry, Audi gave the S6 and S7 a refresh and we had the opportunity to experience the A6, S6 and S7 on a beautiful day in Malibu to drive the cars for ourselves for a car run along the winding roads up Malibu Canyons. A drive that was exciting enough to get F1 racers hearts pumping and smiles on their faces just from a daily driving car.
If you are looking to add something that would make you want to spend more time on the road in, you may want to consider driving the Audi. Their A6, S6, and S7 models all have features that would make driving in traffic something to look forward to.
The A6 below the hood and trunk of the A6 is new. Up front, are sharp, squinty lamps that better integrate into the design and make the whole front of the car look more aggressive and purposeful.Active Lane Assist is now networked to Side Assist, so you’ll get a gentle nudge if you try to change lanes with a car in your blind spot. The Night Vision Assistant can now detect any moving object in your driving view
Audi refined the already great models with subtle changes to help the daily drive become a more spirited and enjoyable drive. This model has a much cleaner and attractive looking LED lights and the S6 is a sedan with 4 doors, a lot more chrome on the front grill details and both cars have the Bang & Olufsen upgraded stereo option with 1,400 watts of crisp output. While both cars feel quiet and very much in control when you turn around corners, Audi kept the S6 classy yet powerful exterior looking sedan style.
Noticeably beautiful interior details were added to the S6, whereas the A6 uses four and six-cylinder engines. The S6 is a turbocharged with a 4 liter V8 engine and Quattro all-wheel drive. That will take you from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph. The sophisticated and yet sporty interior alone makes you feel like you want to drive it fast.
If you are looking for a different look for your new S6 or S7 there are a few exclusive S line colors: Sepang blue, Daytona grey, and Salsa red. The dual clutch 7 speed automatic with paddle shifters help the driver enjoy a smoother driving ride without loosing the feeling of power the Audi is known for.
The S7 is a hatchback, which many people feel can be a bit of a turn off when they hear that word but I can assure you that Audi kept style and chic visual ascetics in mind when they made the S7. The rear view of this model is very attractive while being great if you have a surfboard or a lot of bags you want to add to your long drive. The elongated look in its exterior style is certainly more useful and the carbon fiber details with red thread woven into it to give the S7 a similar feel to the S8 and an attractive feature to compliment the S7 driver’s experience. The nose has a chrome or matte black finish option while the rear has a reshaped bumper, trapezoidal exhaust outlets with new tail lights.
The S7 has been upgraded by 30 horsepower to a total of 450 hp output and 406 pound-feet of torque and will go zero-to-60 mph in 4.5 seconds. The MMI infotainment and telematics system has been updated to the latest version and the beaufort walnut wood trim and valcona leather is now available with eight-way power heated front sport seats. The cold weather package adds heated rear seats with a heated steering wheel, while the comfort seating package features contour front seats with ventilation and great massaging functions, passenger memory settings and leather upholstery. The 2016 S7 is a fast car and the adaptive air suspension helps the driver feel a smooth yet sporty ride while encouraging enthusiastic cornering along winding roads which is perfect for a date night out on the town or a family road trip.
As if Audi’s great new models aren’t incentive enough for you to want to add one to your garage, Audi collaborated with Toms shoes.
