It was a summer afternoon to remember with 2017 Cadillac.

The Destination Luxury team had the honor to visit the reopening of the tasting rooms at Epoch Winery in Paso Robles, California. It was the perfect weather to drive in, bright with clear blue skies. This time, the ride of choice was the 2017 Cadillac CTS, a luxury sedan that made the smooth trip even more enjoyable.

Cadillac promised a “masterful experience,” and it delivered. Perfect for road trips, the CTS is every bit as comfortable as it is powerful. With a 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder and 268 horsepower engine, this car was made for the open road. If anything, the car only made us even more excited about testing the top model of the CTS lineup — that is, the V-Power. With a 420 twin-turbo V6 engine, we’ve already added it to our bucket list.

On the inside, this automobile is incredibly luxurious with an array of high-tech features, including a smart remote that lets you start the engine up to 100 feet away. It also offers a tri-zone climate control system that adapts the temperature according to where passengers are seated. The high-end leather seats exude sophistication.

Another great interior feature is the sound system by Bose. The standard is an 11 speaker system, but you can take it a step further and upgrade to the top selection, a 13 speaker system.

The ride is unabashedly bold — just like the Epoch wines we had. Liz and Bill Armstrong, the two owners at Epoch wines (who also happen to be geologists), brought their passion for both history and innovation to the art of winemaking. The winery is known for its Rhone-varietal red and white blends and, of course, their state-of-the-art wine tasting rooms.

To pair perfectly with the wines, they offered Pixsweet 3D printed organic strawberry-flavored ice pops in a classic heart shape. It was a combination made in heaven.

The cherry on top was a performance by Corey Jordan, the renowned pianist. He played classical symphonies that provided the perfect background for our experience. A great ride, good food, and excellent wine, all surrounded by great music. What’s not to love?
