This year, Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS) was co-hosted by the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) and Burba Hotel Network (BHN). The event was held at the JW Marriott and Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. With nearly 3,000 attendees, ALIS is globally known as the leading and largest hotel investment conference.

ALIS features networking opportunities, seminars, and panels with the industry’s most influential professionals who discuss important trends and new opportunities.

ALIS

Although everyone loves a good seminar or panel discussion, networking is key at ALIS. Attendees were attempting to make lasting impressions and swapping business cards over conversations about their company’s power moves of the previous year. One topic that was apparent throughout the conference was the rise of industry troublemakers such as companies like Airbnb and HomeAway.

ALIS

ALIS gives a large portion of its revenue to advances in education and research as well as training missions of the American Hotel & Lodging Educations Foundation (AH & LEF).

Every year, ALIS gives away numerous prestigious awards. Here are a few 2017 winners:
