Last night, Venice Family Clinic honored director and producer Brett Ratner with the Humanitarian Award at the 34th annual Silver Circle Gala, held at the Beverly Hilton. With health centers across the Westside of Los Angeles, Venice Family Clinic a pivotal and important medical force for thousands of low-income and uninsured families.
Venice Family Clinic presents this prestigious award annually to a philanthropic leader in the entertainment. industry who shows altruism to low-income and homeless people in Los Angeles.
Larry King hosted the Gala, while Jeffrey Katzenberg presented the award to Ratner. Mariah Carey joined Ratner went onstage to auction off VIP Mariah Carey Concert Tickets with a private jet ride for an impressive $20,000.
After the live auction, guests enjoyed a live performance by Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons. He performed hits like the Theme from Grease, Sherry and Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You.

As part of the evening, Senior Vice President and Investment Counselor for Capital Group Private Client Services and philanthropist Bill Flumenbaum was also honored with the Clinic’s Irma Colen Leadership Award. The Irma Colen Leadership Award honors those who invest extraordinary time and talent to personally support and advance the mission of Venice Family Clinic.
The Silver Circle Gala has already raised more than $1.4 million this year to fund Venice Family Clinic’s mission of providing quality primary health care to people in need. With ten health centers across the Westside of Los Angeles, Venice Family Clinic is the medical home for nearly 24,000 low-income and uninsured men, women and children in the surrounding communities.
