On Saturday, April 9th producers Bryan Rabin and Adam Bravin launched the first night of Giorgio’s Chapter 2 – The New Sound at mmhmmm at The Standard, Hollywood. Serving up an eclectic glamorous mix of guests, Giorgio’s Chapter 2 did not disappoint. The Hollywood Glitterati turned out in full force including aristocrats, socialites, music and fashion Icons, award winning actors and writers to famed photographers, designers, club kids and legendary party people of all generations.
Guests from the Hollywood Elite in attendance included: True Blood star Alex Skarsgard, Tony, Emmy, Golden Globe and Sag winner Alan Cumming, Star of The Emmy award winning TV Show “House” and “Girlfriends Guide to Divorce” Lisa Edelstein, artist Robert Russell, Emmy Award winning John Roberts of Bob Burgers, Hollywood producer Donald Deline, as well as notorious Club personality and writer, James St. James whose latest novel Freak Show was adapted and produced by Giorgio’s co-founder Bryan Rabin along with Flower Films and Maven Pictures. Filming of the screenplay just completed receiving a slew of media attention, one of the stars, Ian Nelson was also in the crowd. Fashion icon and international best dressed Burlesque star Dita Von Teese, superstar photographers David LaChapelle, Andrew MacPherson, Amy Neusinger and Alix Malka.
The man of the moment manning the music was co-producer/creator Adam Bravin, of She Wants Revenge. Bravin has DJ’d for President Obama, Prince and Stevie Wonder and many others. Saturday night saw Mr. Bravin serve up a melange of New Wave, vintage Hip Hop, New Romantic and more, hearkening back to what many call the 80’s but we like to refer to as ‘retro New Wave.’ The Fashion set also turned out in full force from editors Booth Moore, Adam Tschorn, Rose Apodaca and Merle Ginsberg to fashion reporter George Kotsiopoulos, designer Julia Clancey, costume designer Michael Schmidt, Wolk- Morais, Emmy winning “Mad Men” costume designer Janie Bryant, and stylist of the Rolling Stones Mayrmum Malkapour.
On the music side, chart-topper Leona Lewis was celebrating her birthday while pop star Brooke Candy was tearing up the dance floor. Reigning pop music writer/producer Justin Tranter was there with friends, he is known for numerous #1 pop songs such as “Centuries” (Fall Out Boy), “Good for You” (Selena Gomez), “Sorry” (Justin Bieber), “Nostalgic” (Kelly Clarkson), “Love myself” (Hailee Steinfeld) and his recent song just hit #1 this week for Selena Gomez “Hands to Myself”. Interscope’s latest sensation, The Struts fresh off their first American tour yielding a rock radio #1 came to hear the new sound of Giorgio’s as well as Pussycat Dolls creator Robin Antin. Some of the biggest 80’s music icons that were featured in the new musical rotation came out to check out the burning hot scene, from Grammy Winner Jody Watley, Kevin Haskins of Bauhaus, Love and Rockets to E.G.Daily.
