In Hollywood, there’s always a gala or an event to attend, but rarely is there one in town that is so important to our local community and those in need as the one that was held last night at the Beverly Hilton, to benefit the Venice Family Clinic. Celebrating it’s 35th year of their annual Silver Circle festivities, the fĂȘte was presented by UCLA Health and David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.

The annual event drew an impressive crowd of attendees, including President of Worldwide Marketing and Distribution for Warner Bros. Pictures, Sue Kroll, who was honored the Humanitarian award presented to her by actor and musician, Jared Leto. Dr. Jimmy H. Hara was also honored with the Clinic’s Irma Colen Leadership Award.

The evening was emceed by comedienne Laura Kightlinger (if you haven’t seen her, you need to find her next performance and go, stat) with musical performances by the bands X Ambassadors and Dawes.

Guests joining Venice Family Clinic’s CEO, Elizabeth Benson Forer, in the evening’s festivities included actor Ed Helms, luminaries, board and committee members, as well as elected officials, like California State Senator, Ben Allen.

The Silver Circle Gala will raise over $1.5 million this year to fund Venice Family Clinic’s mission of providing quality primary health care to 24,000 low-income and uninsured men, women and children.
