Although this is the first hotel where Karl Lagerfeld will have complete control over design, it is only another achievement to add to his list of interior design acheievements. Earlier this year Lagerfeld was brough on board to help revive the entiror suites of the the Parisian Monument Hotel De Crillion, which will re-open it’s doors in 2015.  This May we will see Lagefelds “signature” proudly displayed throughout the Sofitel So Hotel in Singapore.

It is no suprise that Karl Lagerfeld is now shifting his eyes toward transforming spaces since he has been creating environments for Chanel Couture shows for years.  There have been several other projects Lagerfeld worked on that helped him achieve this transition. In the 90’s Lagerfeld advised on the interiors of the Alma Schlosshotel in Berlin. This past July he created the interior for the pool of the Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo in Monaco and in 2011 he designed an entire room out of chocolate for the Magnum Ice cream brand in Paris. We can’t wait to see what he will build next!
