Celebrity Cruises unveiled their newest addition in luxury travel, the Celebrity Edge. The reveal occurred in the Red Seven restaurant located in the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood on March 13, 2017. To create the Celebrity Edge, the Celebrity Cruises team gathered dozens of top architects to help create the ship. The architects at the epicenter were Kelly Hoppen MBE of Kelly Hoppen Interiors and architect Tom Wright of WKK. The end result included many exciting new features that include a ship-climbing magic carpet platform and stunning suites. Passengers are also able to control everything in their suites from the shades to the temperature, at the touch of a button. The design adds 23 percent a square footage and 10 percent larger bathrooms than Celebrity’s Solstice Class.
Included in the new luxury ship is a luxury utopia, The Retreat. Two major features of this luxury utopia are the private pool in the Retreat Sundeck and around the clock butler service. Guests who are staying in the exclusive suite also have access to the restaurant Luminae @ The Retreat. Along with the addition of the luxury utopia, the Celebrity Edge features two new types of suites; the Iconic Suites and the Edge Villas. The Iconic Suite is 2600 sq.ft. that includes two bedrooms and bathrooms along with a panoramic window with spectacular views in the living room. The Edge Villas offer two stories of windows and direct access to The Retreat. All suites in the Edge Villas come with king size mattresses, walk through showers and a large soaking tub.

The new ship also offers its passengers a lovely relaxing area, The Rooftop Garden. The garden is tended to daily by a horticulturist who makes sure that the garden is always a relaxing area for passengers. At night, the Rooftop Garden is filled with live music and the outdoor movie-and-meal pairing of A Taste of Film. Passengers can also relax at the restaurants that are located on Deck 5 and Deck 19.
