My Top Five is a new Destination Luxury column, where key individuals who appreciate all things luxury discuss of the people, places and things that are important to them. Whether it is a favorite restaurant, location, or perhaps just a wonderful experience, they’ve agreed to give Destination Luxury an insider’s point of view into the things they love.

Australian Simone De La Rue looks every bit of California girl, even though she’s only here part-time. “They call me bi-coastal Barbie,” she jokes about how her staff views her, but it’s no joke. Training the likes of Anne Hathaway, Sandra Bullock and Matt Damon requires her to be both an East and West Coaster. Formerly a classically trained dancer, the fitness guru has only recently opened up her second Body by Simone studio – this one in Los Angeles focusing on core-strengthening sessions that pull from pilates, yoga and dance.  Here she talks about a few of her favorite things.

1. I adore The Greenwich Hotel. I love getting pampered in the spa, drinking red wine in the library by the open fire,  and eating the sheep’s milk ricotta at Locanda Verde.

2. Aire ancient baths in Tribeca in New York City is really a phenomenal experience. There’s nothing quite like soaking in a salt water pool after a long day of working out.

3. Jennifer Fisher jewelry. I love my Hamsa charm she made for me. I wear it everyday.

4. Santorini, Greece, watching the sunset over the caldera. Heaven!

5. Lindsay Block, my favorite hair stylist at Frederick Fekkai. The best blow out in town!
