NAIL TRENDS AND ART FROM THE SPRING 2015 FASHION WEEK.

Whether it’s bold nail art or simple nude, there isn’t a talon that heads down the runway untouched. Backstage at New York Fashion Week, top celebrity nail artists are busy starting trends and breaking the manicure mold. These snapshots capture the season’s hottest manicure looks that we can’t wait to try out at home (including some wild nail art!). Get ready for stripes, ombré, graphics, and plenty of chic metallics!

Bold coral negative-space half-moon manicures created using Essie Tart Deco ($9) complemented the colorful collection at Delpozo.

The clean white manicure with a single gold strip (created by manicurist Gina Edwards for Kiss and Broadway Nails) contrasted the ladylike collection at Erin Fetherston.

The embellished 3D manicures at Betsey Johnson put an over-the-top spin on bridal nails.

The cuticle-only style was created by Sally Hansen manicurist Tracylee by painting the entire nail and removing the polish.

At Zang Toi, models sported a nontraditional french manicure that featured deep purple and light lavender.

At Lela Rose, Katie Jane Hughes created a nude nail using a Butter London nude base and completed the look with a diamond embellishment.

At Kate Spade New York, models sported simple nail art created by Deborah Lippmann; Amazing Grace ($18), a creamy white, served as the base and was topped with a line of Fade to Black ($18) applied with a striping brush.

These watercolor nails by Essie at Rebecca Minkoff had a tie-dye, surfer-chic vibe.
