FIRST OUTDOOR GRASS POLO GAME TO BE PLAYED IN LAS VEGAS. - Destination Luxury

The Las Vegas Polo Classic is several days away from hosting its first ever-outdoor polo game. The polo field created at Star Nursery Field next to Sam Boyd Stadium (7000 E Russell Road) is going to be a beautiful place to be on April 14 & 15.

To start off the day at Noon, accomplished polo player, film and television star Sonia Couling, will take over the field with three other female polo players in the California Polo Club shirts and take on the male polo team of Luxury Las Vegas for a Battle of the Sexes polo match on artificial grass. Polo is one of the fastest growing sports in the country and 35% of its players are women. Come out and cheer your favorite sex.

At 2:15, they have two powerhouse high goal polo teams competing. The players on the UBS Polo Team are made up of two American players and two from Mexico. On the Land Rover Polo Team an all American player roster. The players and horses will provide edge of your seat excitement as they race up and down the polo field at 35-40 mph.

In between each chukker, Kelleher International is sponsoring the Chukker Girl. Courtney Barber, a former Miss Nevada, will grace the field in a 2018 Range Rover announcing the upcoming chukker.

In the center of Millionaire’s Row is the Polo Village featuring sponsor boutiques and displays. Attendees will be able to purchase anything from a Range Rover to a private jet charter with NV Jets to a new Grayse wardrobe. Fashion is a major part of polo from the attendee’s attire to the Grayse formal runway show that will be featured between the two polo games each day.

Festivities also include the traditional champagne half-time divot stomp, hat contest, Land Rover Million Dollar Road Rally and much more

VIP Tailgating Tents on Millionaire’s Row are available in three packages from $800 for a semi-private tent to $1500 for a private tent for a day and $2500 for both days. VIP Tents includes 8 tickets per day, 60” roundtable, linen, white wooden chairs, china, silverware, wine glasses and includes two Gourmet Wicker Picnic Baskets for guests to keep. The picnic baskets include cheese, charcuterie, baguettes, olives, nuts, spreads, dessert, wine and more.  Each picnic basket feeds four. As a special treat for attendees that purchase a VIP Tent for the weekend, they will have the opportunity to participate in the Land Rover Million Dollar Road Rally during the Las Vegas Polo Classic weekend. On the morning of April 14th and 15th, teams of three will be given two playing cards and will leave every fifteen minutes from the Star Nursery Field in a 2018 Range Rover.    Each participant has to drive one leg of the road rally and accomplish three tasks. The first task will take them to NV Jets private hangar where they will board a NV Jets private jet and have to place over a million dollars of Tiffany & Co jewelry in its order of value.   The second task will take them to a Synergy Sotheby’s multi-million dollar estate to perform their next task.  The third task will take them back to Star Nursery Field where they will become a polo player on horseback and dribble a ball around an obstacle course. After performing each task the team will receive an additional playing card.   The team with the best poker hand over the weekend wins.

For people who have always wanted to learn to play polo; they will have their chance.   California Polo Club will have horses and instructors on the field before and after the games for lessons.   The cost is $225 per person.   Please call (760) 668-6093 for lessons.
