Flying privately can be the ultimate experience, and the Prestige Private Air (link) concept was created in order to facilitate that sentiment, while giving travelers the safest and most luxurious form of air travel in the industry. Plus they offer unparalleled service, at a reasonable price, without any of the inconveniences typically associated with flying commercial or the usual expense of flying private. Destination Luxury got some time with the company’s CEO, Alex Reilly to talk about the high flying business of air travel.

Destination Luxury: Why did you start Prestige Private Air?
Alex Reilly: It all began about 4 years ago from a simple idea about making private jet travel affordable through membership and sharing.
Destination Luxury: How did you get into the aviation business?
Reilly: My personal background is in website design, business development and SEO. I worked on a few projects with my business partner, Eli Lieberman, who presented me with the brilliant revolutionary jet membership business model that our members know and love. I was hooked on the idea and with Eli’s passion for flying, not to mention his previous fighter pilot experience in the Israeli army! I knew this was the path I wanted to take. I am currently in the process of getting my pilot license.
Destination Luxury: Talk about the plane we’re in right now.
Reilly: This is the Falcon 50ex. French built super mid-sized, long-range corporate jet, featuring a three jet engine layout with an S-duct central engine. It has the same fuselage cross section and similar capacity as the earlier Falcon 20 twinjet but is a completely new design that is area ruled and includes a more advanced wing design. The Falcon 50EX features improved engines and other enhancements to give further range improvements to an already long-legged jet. It remains a very popular corporate jet for its long-range, luxury, and for the recognition of status for owning a fast three-engined jet.
Destination Luxury: Describe your offerings for potential members.
Reilly: New members receive a welcome package which includes a personalized engraved metal flight access card, Prestige Private Air pens, USB’s, hats, shirts, and other great items. On board, our aircraft members can expect gourmet catered meals, specialty wine and spirits, and occasional raffle items. We like to make our flights fun and exciting – especially with those trips to Las Vegas.
Prestige Private Air believes in going above and beyond in catering to each guest that walks through our doors. Collaborating with countless strategic partners to create the ultimate luxury experience, Prestige provides each member with a private concierge and insider access to the most elite parties and events. Some of which include the Super Bowl, the Emmy’s and Art Basel, as well as more exclusive gatherings hosted by A-list Ambassador athletes, entertainers and industry leaders.
Destination Luxury: Tell us about your membership base.
Reilly: Our members the innovators, achiever and the doers. The ones that want to get things done and have decided they no longer want to waste their time waiting in lines.
Destination Luxury: Where do you see your company in 5 years?
Reilly: The ultimate goal is to connect all of our current routes with every major city in the United states at the same time bridging the gap between International major cities with U.S Cities for the type of affordable access that not only improves travel, making the flight experience more enjoyable but also the saving people countless hours of flight time. In a sense we are selling time.
Destination Luxury: What makes Prestige different from other private jet companies?
Reilly: Our unique and revolutionary business model. Through membership and sharing we have devised a way to allow those people who once thought flying private was out of reach – now possible. We have aligned our prices with first class commercial prices for the first time ever.
Destination Luxury: What is the most difficult demand that you have accommodated?
Reilly: Protecting celebrities privacy. The paparazzi are relentless.
Destination Luxury: How many members do you have now?
Alex Reilly: We currently have over 300 members and growing strong.
Destination Luxury: Let’s talk a bit about you. Can you share some of your favorite places to travel?
