Romantic, private and serene are a few words to describe the ultra-luxurious St. Regis Punta Mita Resort in Mexico. If you are seeking tranquility and an exceptional, yet understated luxury experience, this is one of the world’s most renowned, high end, luxury developments quietly nestled only 45 minutes away from Puerto Vallarta. This resort sits on 22 lush acres and has one of the most alluring beaches with spectacular Pacific Ocean views. The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort embraces guests with all the luxuries of a private, intimate hideaway where art and nature beautifully entwine. It is also known for its family traditions that make this the ultimate getaway that satisfies the human experience.
The entrance to the St. Regis property is simple, yet comes off as very upscale and grand. As the private gates opens and you begin to drive forward, the property begins to reveal itself with sensuous curves that hug the circular driveway and peek–a–boo glimpses of ocean vistas. Upon arrival at the main lobby entrance, you’re immediately greeted with a chilled facecloth and a welcome glass of iced tea or their signature cocktail.
As soon as you walk in the lobby, you are taken away by the beautiful ambiance. No words can describe the feeling you have when you are standing in the lobby looking out down the waterfalls lined with luscious palm trees and a glimpse of the sparkling ocean.
The Remede Spa is a wellness sanctuary designed to heal and rejuvenate your mind and body. Their special treatments have been carefully selected to restore your health and well-being, helping you to relax and replenish your energy. Our treatment was called “UPLIFT YOUR SOUL ‘HISI’ AWAKENING RITUAL. This indulgent whole body experience began with a Grapefruit and Jasmine smoothing exfoliation which left our skin feeling soft as silk. Right after that, an incredible deep body massage takes place for another 50 minutes and then the treatment ends with a cucumber and aloe vera facial, that left my face glowing. This treatment is designed to enhance your mental, emotional, and physical well-being and leave you feeling refreshed and awakened. We felt completely revitalized and tranquil; It was the ultimate feeling of pure bliss.
The Remede Spa
After our spa treatment, we took the time to walk around the resort to check out the other amenities offered. Our journey took us by three immaculate infinity pools, a walk along a private stretch of beach, within a 7 Iron’s reach of two Jack Nicklaus Signature championship golf courses and within a volley of the resort’s tennis center nestled in a palm grove. If only we had packed our tennis rackets.
It was time to go on a culinary journey as we began to work up a hunger for something delicious and we stumbled upon the oyster bar located right off the beach. We were kindly greeted by the staff who took our order and only moments later came back with a delectable selection of oysters and hors d’oeuvres paired with Moet & Chandon champagne. The service was impeccable and the food was utterly divine.

This tropical oasis filled with beautiful swaying palms trees, long stretches of white sand beaches, and warm, tropical breezes with the glistening sun seemed too good to be true. The peaceful secluded beach where you can stretch out on the pristine golden-white sand while listening to the pounding of rhythmic waves lapping at the shore, feeling like you have the entire resort to yourself, was truly incredible.
After enjoying a relaxing but brief siesta on the beach, we headed over to the Sea Breeze Restaurant. The Sea Breeze Beach Club’s menu offers delights to satisfy every taste, all prepared with the freshest available ingredients. Local fresh seafood, the finest seasonal organic produce, and the highest quality meats. Our server recommended we try the alcohol infused hookah. It was quite a contraption that looked like a science experiment in the shape of an octopus.
Despite Punta Mita’s many natural and man-made recreational opportunities, ultimately, the area is more about a retreat. We were also impressed with the level of detail that was put into the service and the personable nature of the staff.
Overall, we were very pleased with our experience at the St. Regis Punta Mita, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, rejuvenating get-a-way. We have been fortunate enough to travel to many destinations and this was by far one of our favorites. Nothing compared to the warmth, hospitality, and world-class service we experienced during our stay.
