Patricia Hartmann is known as one of the most recognizable faces on the runways of Paris, Milan and New York in the 1990’s. Discovered by Karl Lagerfeld, she quickly rose to Supermodel status, strutting the catwalk for such iconic designers as Dior, Versace, Valentino, YSL, Ralph Lauren, Oscar de la Renta and of course, Chanel. At the height of her career, she was the face of L’Oreal Cosmetics Worldwide, and graced the covers of countless magazines including Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, Allure and Cosmopolitan. Today, she is back to her beauty and runway roots, and serves as the Creative Director of her name sake cosmetics brand, Runway Rogue by Patricia Hartmann.
Greatly committed to the giving of her time for charity, her latest contribution was to partner with the Make-A-Wish Foundation in order to grant a wish for a beautiful teen-aged girl from West Covina, CA. named Samantha, thankfully in remission from Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis, a rare form of cancer. Samantha’s wish was to build her modeling portfolio, and Patricia was able to grant it by inviting Sam, and her family, to her Runway Rogue Beauty headquarters in Costa Mesa, where she set up a professional photo shoot and personally mentored Samantha on how to successfully pose in front of the camera.
As I am a friend of Patricia’s, I was invited to set to witness the shoot, and am very proud to not only share the incredible images that were the result of the team’s efforts, but to publish Samantha’s first editorial shoot, here in DLX. ENJOY!
