Knowing this, the Destination Luxury team was excited to visit one of their premier locations in the Riviera Maya. We had the great pleasure of staying at IBEROSTAR Grand Hotel Paraiso, its adult-only location on the resort. The IBEROSTAR properties also have its phenomenal IBEROSTAR Paraíso Beach, IBEROSTAR Paraíso del Mar (both Premium), IBEROSTAR Paraíso Lindo and IBEROSTAR Paraíso Maya (both Premium Gold). When it comes to being the best resort in Riviera Maya, the IBEROSTAR is a must. Guests who reside in the Grand Hotel Paraiso have access to all Premium and Premium Gold hotels not only within the IBEROSTAR Playa Paraíso complex but also the ones in the area (Cancun, Playacar and Cozumel). The Destination Luxury team was pampered and fully indulged in their offerings.

There are five restaurants at the resort that all provide exquisite meals. Japanese Teppanyaki, Classic American Steakhouse, International Gourmet, Italian Cuisine and local Mexican food invite you to turn every meal into a memory at the Grand Hotel Paraiso. And as a guest of the IBEROSTAR Hotel, we were more than welcome to gratify our appetite at their other locations on the IBEROSTAR property.
Dining at the restaurants is phenomenal, but it would be incomplete without the impeccable service. Aside from the 24/7 room service access to their full menu, each guest has access to a butler who tends to your every need. From their shoe-shining service to laundry service to taking your drink orders on the beach, their staff will accommodate your needs and keep you fulfilled.
The hotel is aesthetically unique in its architecture and design. It infuses Georgian with Venetian, Greco with Baroque to impressively create an unprecedented style. The hotel is interwoven with serene, majestic blue-colored pools which glisten in the sunlight.
Their gardens and spas are sanctuaries where you can find a honeymoon couple cherishing each moment they take in together. This is apparent throughout the hotel.
Our favorite part of the IBEROSTAR Grand Hotel Paraiso is their scenic beach-view rooms, which will leave you feeling breathless. The views are magical and unforgettable. When you arise in the morning, you’ll be greeted with the below view.
To relax, the SPA Sensations provides you the opportunity to relax and rejuvenate. The Turkish and Roman baths and privates rooms provide many services. The quintessential spa experience would be incomplete without their menu of massages, beautiful decor, and aroma-filled therapies. We highly encourage you to cherish and try their facials.
Immediately following your spa treatment, enjoy the massaging water fountains and lay poolside with their fresh-pressed juices and green smoothies.
In case you feel like adventuring outside of the property, there are numerous activities that’ll quench your thirst for excursions, scenery, and cultural experiences. Snorkeling was the one excursion we dabbled and were blessed with the sight of playful giant sea turtles. Thank you to our new friends at Cancun Adventures for the great experience. There’s also the grand Chichen Itza, one of the great wonders of the world and X-Carat – known for its zip lines.
