This quarantine period has been such a perfect break from the rat-race that I was living. I was going to parties, eating extravagantly at delicious restaurants and drinking a lot of alcohol. I let the entertainment industry get the best of me…and it showed on my body, face and stomach.

6 months ago, I started intermittent fasting and then I quit alcohol about 3 months ago. I cut processed foods from my diet and started experimenting with long term fasts.

I did 40 hour fasts and even an 85 hour fast. I wanted to see how far I could push my body. When you fast, your body reaches a state of autophagy which means that body eats the dead cells and fat from itself.

This past month I’ve been doing intermittent fasting every day which means no food and water for 20 to 23 hours a day. Please do not try this unless you consult a doctor.

I also started doing red light therapy to stimulate the mitochondria in my cells and began exercising on an empty stomach. The common belief is that if you workout on an empty stomach you will burn muscle mass for fuel, but that was no the case for me. This past couple of weeks I’ve been swimming almost a mile a day and I feel fantastic.

For diet, I’ve been eating mostly vegan, with occasional meat (very very little). For steak, I’ll have @belcampomeatco. I’ve been eating a lot of salads where I make my own dressing with the blender, like a Vitamix. I also do a lot of smoothies with fresh aloe, dates, a banana, fig and protein powder by @Amazinggrass and @Zealnaturals.

For my face, I’ve been using @radicalskincare and @oseamalibu and I’ve seen a massive transformation in my skin.

This quarantine, it’s been a massive lifestyle change. I’m practicing minimalism with food, consumption and just working on myself. I love the healthy lifestyle.
